Product information
The isoclima pipe system is ideal for cold water transport. isoclima pipes consist of an HDPE carrier pipe and an LLDPE outer casing, which are bonded into a solid sandwich structure with flexible polyurethane insulation.
The efficient polyurethane foam insulation ensures minimal heat loss and low lambda values of 0.021 W/m°C throughout the system's entire lifetime – a cost-saving solution.
A smooth LLDPE outer casing allows the use of weldable HDPE joints, ensuring minimal effort during connection installation. Other options include mirror welding and clamp fittings.
Key-features

The isoclima pipe is made from a seamlessly extruded, impact- and break-resistant, tough-elastic high-density polyethylene (PE 100). General quality requirements, pipe series, and dimensions are according to DIN 8075, DIN 8074, and DIN EN 12201-2. PE 100 pipes in dimensions DN 20 - DN 50 are tested for drinking water suitability.
We insulate isoclima pipes with rigid polyurethane foam (PUR) using a specially formulated recipe. Continuously foamed around the carrier pipe in the production line, a high-quality insulating material is created through an exothermic chemical reaction, offering excellent thermal conductivity, λ50 = 0.021 W/(m•K), with low density. ISOPLUS exclusively uses PUR foam that is 100% free of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). As a blowing agent, we exclusively use a gas from the pentane group. This results in excellent thermal insulation properties while achieving the lowest possible ODP and GWP values, ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) = 0, GWP (Global Warming Potential) = < 0.001.
Tried and tested Polyethylene Linear Low Density (PE-LLD) with a smooth surface is used for the isoclima outer casing. PE-LLD is a seamless, tough-elastic, thermoplastic material. Thermal conductivity λPE = 0.33 W/(m-K). PE-LLD is highly resistant to weather conditions, UV radiation, and virtually all chemical compounds found in the soil. In all national and international standards and regulations, PE is therefore listed as the only suitable material for direct burial. In isoclima pipes, a PE film is integrated between the insulation and the outer casing. This serves as a barrier to prevent the exchange of PUR cell gas, ensuring that heat loss remains consistently low throughout the product's lifetime. Generally, we produce and supply isoclima pipes without network monitoring.
A wide range of connection components is available for joining isoclima pipes. In buried sections, weldable HDPE couplings are preferably used, while butt or mirror welding, as well as screw and clamp connections, are also possible.
