Flexible pipe system
isopex Sanitary – Single and twin pipe
Thanks to their extraordinary flexibility, ISOPLUS pre-insulated isopex sanitary pipes are ideal for house connections, subsequent network expansion and for bypassing obstacles such as structures, trees or third party pipes and cables. We supply the isopex sanitary pipe from Do = 20 mm to Do = 110 (Available in Germany up to Do = 40 mm) and the uniSan from Do = 20 mm to Do = 40 mm with a diffusion-resistant aluminium barrier layer.
The service pipes have the following drinking water approvals: KIWA, ACS, DVGW, ÖVGW and WRAS.

Product information
Continuous production of the two flexible isopex sanitary pipes produces a longitudinally watertight bonded pipe system. The three basic materials (service pipe and insulation and outer casing) are thus firmly bonded together.
The service pipe’s modulus of elasticity reduces with increasing temperature, thereby causing very low stresses. The embedment in the ground reduces these stresses still further and almost fully suppresses axial thermal expansion in a compound system such as isopex sanitary and uniSan.
This means that isopex and uniSan pipes can be planned without expansion compensation and, due to their composite structure, can be directly introduced into buildings or building entries.
Key-features
- Time-saving and low installation costs
- Low heat losses
- No need for fixed point constructions for wall penetrations
- Low pipe crown depth of cover and shallow laying enable a narrow pipe trench
- Minimum bending radii from 700 mm, therefore the most direct route can be taken to the building’s utility room
- No pipe structural design required (self-compensating)
- Highly reduced use of joint casings, practically no socket installation, immediate re-filling
- Easier routing in built-up areas, faster total construction time, shorter traffic disruption, lower construction costs
- Short delivery times

- Short-term peak temperature Tmax allowed up to: 95 °C to DIN EN 15632-2.
- Maximum allowed operating pressure pB : 10 bar.
- Possible media: drinking and domestic water, other liquid substances that are compatible with the pipe material.
- The service pipes have the following drinking water approvals: KIWA, ACS, DVGW, ÖVGW and WRAS.
- Carrier pipe: Aluminium
- Outer casing: Bimodal – LLDPE
- Insulation: Polyurethane foam, cyclopentane-blown
isopex uniSan has an additional 100% oxygen diffusion-tight layer according to the DVGW good practice guide W542, DIN EN ISO 21003 and an aluminium layer to DIN EN 573-3, which bonds the pressure-stable PE-Xa pipe with the PE outer casing. The pipe has a further aluminium foil between the rigid PUR foam and PE-LLD outer casing, thanks to which the pipe has a certified DVGW approval for use with drinking water.
To maintain the bonding principle, this polyethylene is coated on both sides with corona.
We recommend preferable use of compressible joints and connections for PE-Xa pipes in the ground. Clamped joints can be used in visible and accessible areas within buildings.
