Single use and demand connection ball valves enable a construction phase to be completed and continued at a later date. Welded as an end piece, they enable the existing route to be continued without draining or taking the pipeline out of service. When using twin pipes, it is important to install the ball valves offset, both clockwise and along the longitudinal axis.

These components are utilised to create connection points on district heating networks which are operational without impacting the operational performance. The valves allow for additional branches, building connections or phases to be added to a network after the initial design / development. ISOPLUS can provide both – components and tooling to carry out the tapping process.

Stem extensions enable underground valves to be operated with a wide variety of coverings. Stem extensions of different types and for different brands can be ordered from ISOPLUS.

End caps seal open pipe ends in structures and buildings and protect the PUR foam from soaking through. End caps are made of heat-shrinkable, molecularly cross-linked, modified and therefore temperature-resistant polyethylene. Both ends are coated with a specially formulated sealing adhesive.

Special sealing inserts for increased requirements are used for pressing and accumulating water in accordance with DIN 18195-6. Our seals enable simple and reliable wall entry sleeves of pipelines. They prevent water ingress at wall penetrations in buildings or manholes.
This seal, which can usually be tightened from the inside, is gas and pressurised water-tight, consists of two pressure discs and two solid rubber seals and is specially designed for rigid pipes.

Expansion pads (EP) reliably absorb unavoidable pipe expansion movements. They are used at L-, Z- and U-bends, branches, reducer joints and end casings, shut-off valves and high and low points of the ISOPLUS pipelines.
Our standard expansion pads are manufactured with 40 mm thickness and a length of 1000 mm. If larger thicknesses are needed, several expansion pads can be bonded together by flaming.

Available versions:

• EP standard: consists of two strips for side attachment in the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock position, preventing heat accumulation in the pipe crown.
• EP partial covering: like EP standard, however, with an additional fixed boundary zone made of laminate for complete surrounding of the PEHD outer casing in closed horizontal-oval shape. This prevents heat accumulation and the penetration of sand between the outer casing and the cushion.
• Full EP covering: completely enclosing mats, which 100 % cover the circumference of the PEHD outer casing. Longitudinal and transverse joints are welded by laminate scarfing. Due to the high heat accumulation, particularly in the pipe crown, this variant is only conditionally usable and the EP thickness should be limited to 80 mm maximum. A EP full covering includes pre-assembled strips of sizes I, II and III for the respective casing pipe diameter.

ISOPLUS pipes frequently have to be linked to existing networks, which have been laid in a sewer or hooded channel. If fed through laterally through the sewer wall, transverse movements can occur, which are compensated for by the connection pipe. The PEHD fitting has a delivered length of 1.00 m and consists of a joint pipe. The scope of supply includes a shrink collar, which seals between the end of the socketed pipe and the PEHD casing of the relevant pre-insulated pipe. The seal between the connection pipe and the sewer wall is made using a technically necessary wall entry sleeve, which is not included in the scope of supply.

Pipe supports are used as auxiliary supports for ISOPLUS pipelines with an outer casing diameter of up to Do 315 mm. Unlike squared timbers, they do not have to be removed before placing the sand surround and are therefore particularly advisable. The pipe supports are made of extruded, CFC-free rigid foam. Three support points or three pipe supports are needed for a 6.00 long pipe trench. Available in PS 30 to Do 315, from Do 355 PS 60.

The warning tape is used to mark the ISOPLUS pipelines above the finished sand bed and the first fill layer of 200 mm in 12.00 o’clock position of the flow pipes and return pipes. The warning tape is delivered with 40 mm wide and 250 m long rolls with black neutral "Caution. District heating pipe” lettering on a yellow background.
